Hi,

I have a blog about fun stuff from the fifties and posted a page from The Brownies there, which turns out to be by Mel. I had hoped to see more of his comic book work here, so I hope you'll get around to it.

I am a big fan of Howdie Doodie. Did Mel do intereriors or just some of the covers? Solittle is know about these books, except with those who worked there or know the people involved. The needs to be some serious research done, before all this knowledge is lost.

Long live blogs like this. I have put a link to it on my own blog. Is Mel the same Crawford who did cartoons in the early fifties?

Revisiting Mel Crawford's cartoon paintings as a discerning, appreciative adult is like finding out there really IS a Santa Claus, and every day is Christmas.

No one - and I mean NO ONE - ever did it any better. Thanks for being a genius, Mel Crawford!
